How much does it cost to register?

  • The registration fee is $75 per child. The cost includes a reversible uniform.

Will my child make a team?

  • In the ATR program, every child registered will play for a team. The player evaluations are meant to help us create evenly skilled teams to the best of our ability.

What age group will my child be playing with?

  • Our program is divided up into the following age divisions: Kindergarten (co-ed), 1st-2nd grade (boys and girls divisions), 3rd-4th grade (boys and girls divisions), 5th-6th grade (boys and girls divisions), and 7th-12th grade (boys and girls divisions).

Can my child play with a certain teammate or for a certain coach?

  • We can honor teammate requests for transportation purposes (e.g. you live in the same neighborhood and intend to carpool for practices). Additionally, siblings can play for the same team if they meet the league criteria (ex: a brother and sister that are both at least 5 years old and in a formal kindergarten program may play together; siblings that are the same gender and are in the 1st grade or above can play together if their grade level allows them to compete in the same division). Any other requests regarding teammates or coaches are not guaranteed to be met, as we attempt to keep teams balanced in regards to skill level.

When will my child practice?

  • Once the season begins, each team will have one practice per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays (Fridays may be used if necessary) between 5:30pm and 9:30pm. The day and time will be the same for every practice. We cannot guarantee a specific practice night for your child as the schedule is determined by the availability of our coaches. Our Kindergarten division is structured differently. They will have two weekly practices prior to the first game. All subsequent practices will take place on game days for a 30 minute period leading up to the start of the game. Your practice day and time will be communicated to you prior to the start of the season.

When will I hear from a coach?

  • You should hear from either a coach or from an ATR staff member by Monday of the first week of practice. Should you hear from an ATR staff member that will mean that your child’s team is in need of a coach. We like to keep our parents aware and informed as we move through the process. Please check your voicemail and email regularly for a contact from your coach or ATR staff member. Due to the privacy of personal information, we are not allowed to give you the contact information of your coach. They will give you this information at the beginning of your season.

When are the games?

  • 7th-12th grade teams in the spring league will start play at 9am, and games will continue throughout the morning and into the early afternoon if necessary. Double headers and bye weeks may be included for age divisions that consist of an odd number of teams. Games will be played on April 17th, 24th, May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd.

When will my child receive their uniform?

  • Uniforms will be distributed at each team's second practice.

How long is the season?

  • The K-6th grade season runs for a total of 9 weeks. Each team will have 9 practices and play 8 games. The 7th-12th grade season runs for a total of 7 weeks. Each team will have 7 practices and play 6 games.

How do I find out about practices and games if there is bad weather?

  • For practices and games, you will need to refer to this Website, or the the church Website at You can also call (336) 288-3824 extension 307 for information. An updated message will be placed on the Websites and phone by 4:00pm on practice nights and one hour prior to the first games on game days. If there is no message, you may assume that we are practicing/playing. Also, keep a look out for email updates sent regarding weather decisions.
